The story behind my '91 5.0L Mustang
I came across this fox body in the spring of 2001. Between the cleanliness, low mileage and excellent condition, this Mustang was impossible to pass on. We contacted Mustang enthusiast, Cori Dorman to see if she might have some history on the car. Cori is a member of the Vancouver Island Mustangs Association and works for Suburban Motors in Victoria. Being a member of VIMA she knew exactly which car it was and who had recently owned it as they where a member also. Cori directed us to Steve Cracknell. We contacted Steve for the history during the time he owned it. It turned out that very few changes had been made to the Mustang. This suited me perfectly but as the new owner I was about to make a few more, mostly creature comforts. The biggest change I made was swapping out the stock Sound System in favour of a JVC KD-AR860 stereo coupled with Infinity speakers on all four corners. Other changes included a K&N Air Filter, MotorSport ignition wires and with some help from Steve, the removal of vinyl pinstripping, giving the car a cleaner appearance. I also painted the rotors and rear brake drums in a medium metalic red. Ford Mud Guards were added to the car to protect the rocker panels from further paint erosion from road spray.
